Braid-Out Attempt

So last night I went to see Gyptian(I luv his music) and had to think of something quick to do to my hair.
Now, I have not touched a blow dryer or flat iron since April and I can honestly say..I was really tempted to last night. Then when I stepped foot in the venue and I was happy I didn't. Never been so hot in my LIFE!! I had to clip my hair up after like 20 minutes of being in there.
I ended up doing a braid-out, but it didn't come out that great because I didn't wait for it to dry.
I was running low on time so I had to skip the gym yesterday and opted for a light work-out out at my place.
I was debating whether I should co-wash my hair or not and because of the time constraint, I opted not to. I co-washed my hair Tuesday night, so I figured I was fine.

So here is what I did:

  • Sprayed my hair with Distilled water
  • Applied Hollywood Beauty Olive Creame Hair Dress ($3.00 Walgreens)
  • Sealed with Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil with Ginseng ($2.00 Walgreens)
  • Put four cornrows on the Left Side of my head
  • Then put 4 braids on the left side and 5 on the right
  • Placed Silk rollers on the bottom of each braid
  • Let it sit for about an hour and a half
  • Then unbraided
After letting my hair sit for that long, you would think it dried, right? Well it didn't and I had no time to try and fix it. I had an option of re-braiding then blowdrying my hair or going under the dryer, but like I said before..I am not using any heat..at all. Unless it's to deep condition once in a while.

Anyway..here are some pics.....(I have a strapless dress on..so NO..I am not naked..haha)

In order for a braid-out to come out looking nice....it HAS to be Completely Dry! Thank goodness my hair didn't stay down for too long!
