HOTD featuring an Old T-Shirt

Remember those chunky twists I did? Well the only way I think they look cute is if I wear a headband/scarf. So..in an effort to ditch my flower hair accessories and use up what I have..I thought this would be a perfect time to wear some hair scarves

Today, I wanted to wear these orange accessories my friend bought me, but didn't have any hair scarves to go with them. So..what did I do? I cut up an old t-shirt and used that!

Last on My Wish List

When it comes to hair tools, product, accessories and appliances..I just about have all that I NEED. Although... there are a few things that I want, but am not in a hurry to purchase.
I have some strict financial goals I would like to meet before purchasing any unnecessary items...so for now, these will remain on my wish list.

1.) Hair Steamer
At this moment, my hair is behaving pretty well. It stays moisturized with little effort and I'm not experiencing much breakage...but I'm only 11 weeks post.
I believe the more new-growth I get...the more moisture I may need, so that's where a Hair Steamer comes in.
I will most likely purchase one in June as a gift for making it 6 months since I decided to stop relaxing.

2.) Curlformers
I love the curls these produce and they will stretch out my new-growth very well.
They are pretty pricey though...$63.00 for the set of 40 or $13.00 for either 4, 8 or 10.
I know Ebay has some knock offs called Magic Leverage's, but I only saw the short ones and I don't plan on BC'ing in the near future.
I will probably break down and get the set from Sally's, but not anytime soon.

http://www.sallybeauty.com/ Curlformers Salon Kit- 40 Long Wide and 6 Short Wide $63.99 (with Sally's card)

3.) Flexi-8's
I LOVE these hair clips and have been eyeing them for a while now. I know I can do so much with them and they seem to give great hold. But to pay $16.00-$23.00 for a hair clip (not including shipping) seemed crazy to me...especially if I don't see myself wearing them often since I already have tons of hair accessories I barely wear.

http://www.flexi8.com/ Large 4 1/4" Pin- $16.00 - $23.00

Total- About $200.00
I'm hoping to have these all by the end of the year!

Hair Tools and Accessories Storage

Being a hair fanatic I have accumulated a lot of hair tools and accessories. I started running out of places to store them in my bathrooms and office, so I decided to use an old t.v stand to help.
I could go out and purchase a small shelf, but why spend extra money when I can use what I already have.

See below if you're wondering how I store my hair "stuff".
Keep in mind that I do live alone and I am still renting..so I see no need in spending tons of $$ on things I will upgrade in the near future.

This is just how it looks from a distance

Some of my headbands and scrunchies

This is where I keep my hair sticks and some clips

I use an old product bottle to hold my most used scrunchies

Close-up of my blow-dryers, flat irons and curlers

This is just where I keep my bump-its, ez combs, hair flowers and other clips
I purchased most of the storage containers at the dollar store

Weekend Haul

So I purchased a few things through-out the weekend which I decided to share with you all.

First Stop- Walmart

Multi Vitamins- $ 4.75 (or around that price)
Castor Oil 6 oz- $2.69

Now we all know how multi-vitamins are good for overall health, so no need to explain that.
I use Castor Oil in my pre-poo treatments and in my Sulfur Mix. I'm running low on it

Second Stop- Local Dollar Store

Satin Scarfs- $1.00 Each
These will be cute headbands!!

Hair Clips- $1.00
Ya'll know how I like to clip the left side of my hair back when I do braid-outs and bantu-knot outs. These are some cute clips to use for that purpose

Satin Scrunchies- $1.00
These will be used to secure my bantu-knots and also for my buns. My hair is finally thick/long enough, that when I do a bun...you cant see the holder.
