Updates and Hair Plans

Hey Everyone! Hope you all are doing well.
Just wanted to come on here real quick to chat with y’all.

Posts will slow down drastically(more than they already have) because life is pretty hectic right now.

First off, I am moving and y’all know how that is. Packing, moving, un-packing, buying new things, re-decorating, etc. It takes a whole lot out of you and I’m already exhausted. I just want to thank everyone that has been helping me with this! It is greatly appreciated!!!

I am also going on my first Mission trip soon. I had a calling and I answered. My mission trip will take place in Haiti, my parents birth home, and I will be there for 7 days. There are a lot of preparations involved with this such as purchasing goods for the organization, daily devotions, obtaining proper medications/shots and packing.
All in the mix with trying to move!

The last thing on my list is to purchase a new vehicle. I was in the process of getting one late July/early August, but the sudden move got in the way. My goal is to have one by mid-late September.

I am trying to stay stress free because I know everything that needs to get done, will get done.
Luckily one thing I don’t have to worry much about is my hair!
Perfect segue into my hair plans.

I have had these braids in for a little over 2 weeks now. I planned on re-doing the front this weekend, but I’m going to a concert and also moving a lot of my things, so I don’t know if I’ll be able to get to that. I’ll try though! My plan is to add some color or “highlights” with #30 braiding hair. I love how it looks with jet-black hair.

Anyway, I’m going to do the crown-n-glory method for the remainder of the year.
So, I will:
Keep these braids in for 8 weeks total
Remove, detangle, wash and DC then wear my real hair out for 2 weeks
Install a set of either yarn braids or Kinky twists and keep in for 8 weeks
Remove, detangle, wash and DC then wear my real hair out for 2 weeks
Install a set of cornrows and keep them in for 3 weeks.

That’s my plan, God Willing.

Lastly…I sometimes think about closing this blog down. I’m not going to get into why, but it’s a thought that comes up more and more now.
I appreciate each and every one of you that read, comment and send emails. That is probably the only thing that keeps me going.

    1. Aww thank you :)

I'll be sure to post about it.

The crown and glory method(using braids) is basically to wear braids for an extended period of time while taking care of your hair underneath.
You can learn more about it on this site : www.growafrohairlong.com
