My Signature Braids

I put some braids back in my hair. All that know me....are pretty used to these braids since they are the only type of single braids I do. I used Kanekalon hair and of course braided from root to tip then boiled ends.

Now it's time for me to REALLY enjoy the long weekend! :-D

  1. Beautiful! I am impressed. I can braid but not with hair added. You said you boiled the ends...I normally will boil my daughters ends but with perm rods on the ends. Yours are straight so how does this help and is it long lasting without burning them?

  2. Thank you!!! :-D
I usually boil the ends to get a smooth finish. It also helps to keep the braids from un-braiding...similar to burning the ends.

  3. Okay, so does this technique stay up long or will you have to re-boil them at some point.

  4. Yeah, it does. My braids rarely unravel and the only time I reboil is if I am going for another style such as a braid out or if I re-do the front.

  8. I love the braids Ms. D. Just wondering, do you ever get breakage at your hairline from your braids?

  9. @Steph- Thank you!
I actually haven't experienced any breakage at my hairline and I've been doing braids for years. Because I braid my hair myself..I make sure to be extra gentle on my edges..and I wear my hair down for the first week of so after braiding not to cause any extra tension on that area.
