Natural Purple Hair Dye- Reshma Femme

Update: After using this Henna, my hair was still very black. It darkened my hair, but it did not turn purple or anything remotely close to purple.

.

I have been thinking about coloring my hair, other than jet black, for a while now.
I was in a local BSS and came across this Reshma Playful Plum Henna hair color!
I was beyond excited. But before purchasing this, I tried to find some reviews to see if it actually turned hair purple. I couldn't find any, so I guess I'll find out for myself.

This is an actual kit and comes with gloves, the henna and reshma hair oil.

The ingredients are all natural: Indigofera Tinctoria, Henna, Amla, Shikakai, Bhilwa, Fenugreek Powder, Ratam Jot.

I am tempted to purchase some Manic Panic Semi-Permanent hair color and mix it in with the henna to assure I get purple hair.
But I'll hold off on it until after trying it once. I only plan on dyeing the front portion of my hair, so I'm sure I'll have plenty left over so I can do at least 2 applications. I also prefer to keep things all natural, so I may try mixing it with hibiscus instead. We'll see.

I will be wearing my hair out a lot more in the summer, so I'm excited about doing this. I will def post results, even if they aren't what I wish for.

I do work in Corporate America and was slightly apprehensive about dying my hair purple, but I don't really care anymore. If anyone(mostly management) has an issue with it, I will just dye my hair back to black(w/ Henna and Indigo).

  1. I cannot wait to see the results of your experiment with plum Henna. I think that "plum" would be such a pretty color on you!
I love using hibiscus when I Henna my hair which reminds me that I am overdue for my next treatment. I am curious about mixing Henna and Indigo together rather than doing the two step process, have you ever mixed them together? I have read that it can yield a chocolate brown color.

    1. Thank you! I can't wait to use it.

I have never mixed henna and indigo together, but seen pictures of the result doing so. You are correct, it does make the hair dark brown which looks pretty as well.
I just like my hair jeeeettt black which is why I do the 2 step process that takes forevveeer!
