2013 Hair and Blog Goals

HEY HEY HEY!!! I hope everyone's year is starting off wonderfully!
I just wanted to stop by and share my goals for my blog and hair with you all.

Hair Goals

1.)  Continue to transition for AT LEAST 6 more months
*In 6 months, I will be 20 months post relaxer. I refuse to big chop before then, knowing I will not be happy with the length of my hair.
*I should be able to fit my natural hair in a ponytail by then
*I kind of want to try wash and goes in the summer

2.)   Maintain healthy hair all year long
*This is ALWAYS my goal.

3.)  No Direct HEAT until AFTER I big chop
4.) Complete ALL of the styles on my transitioning style list

5.)  ENJOY my hair transitioning hair
*I need to stop focusing on the big chop and just enjoy my hair in it's current state

Blog Goals

1.) Do at least ONE blog post a week
* When I first started blogging and up until 8 months ago, I was posting almost daily. What the H happened! I need to get back on it and I WILL!

2.) Host at least one Challenge
* My fear is that no-one will join, but I think once I get back into my frequent posting...you all will have more faith in me on hosting a challenge

3.) Do another give-away
*I appreciate each and every one of you and a give-away is a great way to show how much I do.

Do you have any hair goals?  I would LOVE to read them!

  1. Great goals! I feel you on being more consistent. That's something I'm definitely working on in my blog and social media in general. Start working out 5x/weekly. I can't wait to see the challenge you come up with!

    1. Thank you!
5x weekly is very doable. I think once you get into it, it will be second nature!
      ;-) stay tuned!

  2. I have nominated you for a Liebster award :) details on my blog !

    1. Thank you, Bella!
I will check it out shortly :-)

  3. 6 more months was my original goal, and I'm sticking to it for now. No direct heat after big chop until 6-12 months after, need to get to know my hair again, this time with the knowledge I have acquired through the transition process.

Do you have any advice on how to keep twist moisturize?

    1. Great goals! I have a feeling I wont use heat all year as well.

How are you currently moisturizing your twists? Have you tried the LOC method?

    2. I spritz with water, but my relax hair doesn't really like the water. Sometimes I use a leave in conditioner.

    3. After spritzing you should def. apply some oil to your hair. I suggest coconut, olive or grapeseed oil.

  4. Good hair AND blog goals. I love following long term transitions and cant wait to see your hair in 6 months!
